Joan M. Jados

PINE ISLAND — Joan M. Jados, 84, a lifetime resident of Pine Island, New York, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
The daughter of the late Leon C. and Mary Lisack Morgiewicz, she was born on May 29, 1934, in Goshen, N.Y.
In 1955, Joan married the love of her life, Louis A. Jados Sr. They made their home in Pine Island and established Jados Farms.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marie Stanish; son Joseph Sr. and his son Jeffrey; son Louis Jados Jr., his wife, JoAnn, and their daughters, Kristen Jados and Emily Jados-Myers and her husband, Tim; daughter-in-law Joan; sister, Bernadette Sidoti; brother Leon J. Morgiewicz and his wife, Joan; sisters-in-law Florence R. Jados and Josephine J. Lyons; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; her brothers Clarence and Raymond Morgiewicz; her grandsons Joseph Jr. and Jonathan Jados; and her son-in-law John Stanish.
Visitation was held at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route # 1, Pine Island, N.Y. 10969.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 25 at St. Stanislaus Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, N.Y. 10921.
