James H. Nash

James Herbert Nash of Warwick (and formerly of Franklin, Mass.) passed away Feb. 12, 2013, at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 85 years old.
Born Oct. 2, 1927, in Queens, he was the son of James H. and Louise Caroline (Utzig) Nash.
He was married to Joyce (Holden) Nash.
James served proudly in the United States Military for 30 years, first with the U.S. Army from 1946-47, then with the Air Force from 1950-1976, including the Air Force Reserves.
A graduate of Northeastern University in Massachusetts, he was a teacher of ROTC at University of New Hampshire.
An executive with Heath Consultants in Stoughton, Mass., he was a member of the Republican Town Committee in Franklin, Mass., and served as chairman of the Planning Board in Franklin, Mass., where he was honored by having a street named after him: “Jim Nash Street.”
He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, also located in Franklin.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Nash of Warwick; daughter Lucinda Henry and her husband Jim of Warwick; his grandson Christian Henry and his wife Sarah of South Port, Conn., and their daughter, Evelyn Rose Henry; grandson Jonathan Henry of Brooklyn; grandson Alexander Henry of Warwick; granddaughter Arianna Henry of Philadelphia, Pa.; sister Carolyne Bindel of Australia; and nephews: Ernest Bindel and Theodore Bindel.
Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church, Warwick, followed by interment.
