    Jacoba Pennings of Warwick passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Schervier Pavilion. She was 88 years old.

    Born Jan. 26, 1924, in Holland, she was the daughter of the John and Marie (Tol) Van Duynhoven.

    She was married to Joseph Pennings (2004).

    A homemaker, Jacoba was the loving wife of a dairy farmer, a member of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church for many years and a member of the Golden Seniors.

    She is survived by her children: Simon Pennings and his wife Lisa of Greenville, John Pennings and his wife Rose of Walden, Joseph Pennings and his companion Christina Gust of Warwick and Marie Ewanciw and her husband Peter of Greenville.

    She was the loving Oma to seven grandchildren: Lauren, Zachary, Rachel, Katie, Nicholas, Jared and Mark.

    She is also survived by her brothers Joseph Van Duynhoven and Jake Van Duynhoven, both of Warwick, and many nieces and nephews.

    She was predeceased by her brothers John, Peit and Engel.

    Visitation will be Sunday, March 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday,March 12, at St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, followed by interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
