Jack Pullen
John (Jack) Wade Pullen of Warwick (and formerly of Richmond Hill in Queens) passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 88 years old.
Born April 17, 1924, in Oakland, California, he was the son of James and Bessie (Shook) Pullen.
He was married to Antoinette (Ferriola) Pullen for 66 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Artillery during World War II. He was a retired Foreman with Bonded Packaging in Westbury where he worked for 47 years.
He is survived by his wife, Antoinette Pullen of Warwick; two sons: Stephen C. Pullen of Warwick and Jeffrey Pullen of Queens; two grandchildren: Vito and Cindy; three great-grandchildren; a brother, James Pullen of Eugene, Oregon; and a sister, Dorothy Arnold, of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment in Orange County Veterans Cemetery.
