Isidore Appelbaum

Isidore (Izzy) Appelbaum, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in Hilton Head, S.C.
Izzy, just shy of 101 years old, was born to Max and Ester Appelbaum on May 22, 1913.
He is predeceased in death by Pauline ( Yapkowitz ), his wife of 63 years in 1996.
Together they had three sons, Ed, Jack and Rich, and a daughter, Brenda (Sciarra). He leaves nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three stepgreat grandchildren.
Izzy was a former long time resident of Warwick and a founding member of Temple Beth Shalom in the Village of Florida.
He was the former sales manager of Joe Warne Pontiac Florida N.Y., Drew Pontiac and Gleason Ford of Warwick before retiring to the State of Florida.
He loved to remind us all of the many awards given to him by Lee Iacocca of the Ford Mortor Company for consistently being one the nation's leading salesperson or the "pink convertible" he sold to Sugar Ray Robinson.
Izzy was also recognized by and throughout the medical community as a life long diabetic.
Burial was held at Star of David Chapels in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
