Ian Zaboor Sharp

Ian Zaboor Sharp of Warwick passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Warwick, as a result of an automobile accident. He was 34 years old.

Born Feb. 17, 1978 in Englewood, N.J., he was the son of George A. and Ekua (Lawson) Sharp.

“A very sweet, loving person and a free spirit,” Ian was a self-employed artist and painter. He enjoyed poetry and was a rap singer. He also worked as a carpenter and in landscaping.

He is survived by his parents, George and Ekua Sharp of Warwick; a brother, John Dendy in Texas; two sisters: Kay Dendy in California and Kathleen Perks in Nova Scotia; and a nephew, Austin Webster-Perks.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, March 31, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ian’s memory may be made to Warwick Valley Community Center, 11 Hamilton Ave., Warwick, NY 10990.
