Hedy Griffin

Hedy Griffin of Warwick, and formerly of Cape Cod, Mass., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017. at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 79 years old.
Born on Nov. 30, 1937, in Nyack, she was the daughter of Herman and Lola (Jung) Sasse.
Before retiring, Hedy was a psychiatric registered nurse at Westchester Medical Center, where she was well known and respected. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by her sons: Neil Griffin and his wife Christina and daughter of Estero, Fla., and James Griffin; her grandchildren: Thomas and Kristen of Warwick; her brother Victor Sasse and his wife Stella of North Creek; her nephew Jeff Sasse and his wife Lisa and son, Tristan, of Warwick; a nephew, Todd Sasse of California; and a niece, Cindy Zecher, two children Alex and Jade and her husband Todd of Ramsey, N.J.
A memorial service will be held in Warwick on Sept. 9 for invited guests at a private residence.
Donations can be sent in lieu of flowers in her developing foundation.
