Grace Evelyn Varick

Grace Evelyn Varick of Warwick (and formerly of Haledon, N.J.) passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013, in Nyack Hospital. She was 86 years old.

Born Jan. 11, 1927, in Paterson, N.J., she was the daughter of Sydney and Ethel (Holla) Olrick.

She was the loving wife of Lawrence Varick for 61 years.

Grace was a licensed practical nurse at the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon, N.J., before retirement. She was a member of the Warwick United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence, of Warwick; her loving daughter Susan Kuiken and her husband Bill of Warwick; her sons Richard Varick and his fiancée Holly Dare of Littleton, N.C., and David Varick and his wife Vallerie of Bloomingdale, N.J.; her grandchildren: Steven Kuiken and wife Jessica of Sherman Oaks, California, Kelly Varick of Bloomingdale, N.J., and Ryan Varick of Bloomingdale, N.J.; and a brother, Chris Olrick of Lake Mohawk, N.J.

She was predeceased by a sister, Martha Buikema.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m. at Warwick United Methodist Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
