    George Schott of Monroe passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 90 years old.
    The son of William and Mary Hricko Schott, he was born Sept. 21, 1926, in Peckville, Pa.
    George was the widower of Claire J. Glasser Schott, who predeceased him in 2005.
    He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean conflict.
    He also was a member and former Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus Council #2079 in Monroe and a member of the Covered Bridge Society.
    He was a member of St. Anastasia Church of Harriman and a member of American Legion Post #488 in Monroe.
    George was an accountant for 48 years with Otto Brehm, Inc. of Yonkers.
    Survivors include his three sons: Joseph Schott and his wife Barbara of Warwick, Lawrence Schott and his wife Linda of Walker Valley and David Schott and his girlfriend Francesca of Ocala, Fla.; his two daughters: Louise Starr and her husband Robert of Westbrookville and Sandra Fenwick and her husband Bill of Waymart, Pa; his brother Stephen Schott of Monroe; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and seven great, great-grandchildren.
    Visitation was held June 26 at Smith Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
    A Funeral Mass was celebrated June 27 at St. Anastasia Shrine Church.
    Interment followed in St. Anastasia Cemetery.
