Frank W. Castellano
Frank W. Castellano of Warwick passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018. He was 92 years old.
He was born in New York City on June 1, 1925, to parents Vincenzo and Paolo (Piazza) Castellano.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and later moved to Warwick in 1979.
He was the owner of Empire State Electric Motors in Goshen.
As a member of St. Stephen’s Church, he served as an usher for many years. He was past president of the Lake Region Italian American Club of Monroe.
He was loved by all who met him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Valley View who cared for him during his stay.
Frank is survived by his wife Lucy Castellano at home; his son Paul of Warwick; his daughter Marie Abbruzzese of Goshen; son Vincent of Stateboro, Ga.; nine grandchildren: Corinne Zambetti and husband Joe, Michael Abbruzzese and wife Caroline, Brianna, Krysta, Marissa, Anthony, Nicole, Alexa and Joseph Castellano; and three great grandsons. He was predeceased by his daughter Paula Castellano and brother Joseph Castellano.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Stepehen’s RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, on Monday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m.
Interment to follow at Pinelawn National Cemetery in Farmingdale.
