Frank Reichal

Frank Reichal of Warwick, the owner of Frank A. Reichal & Sons Excavating, entered into rest on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018. He was 71.
The son of Frank Anthony Reichal and Blanche Barrett House, he was born on Aug. 14, 1947, in Warwick.
He was a former member of the Warwick Community Ambulance Corps.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susie Schmick Reichal; two sons, Frank Reichal and wife Lori and Bill Reichal and Donna; daughter Bonnie; five grandchildren: Jennifer, Tommy, Jane, Frank and Paige; sister-in-law Ellen Reichal; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother Martin Reichal and stepfather Roman Dudlo.
His family’s statement reads:
“Our Daddy, Frank Reichal, was a friend to all. He had time for everybody. He was kind, thoughtful and his heart was too big for his own good. If you were to go out and search for an honest man, you would have to look no further than Frank Reichal.
“Frank leaves a legacy of love. It’s truly a legacy to see such a huge community that he considered his family and that truly is a life well-lived. Everyone was important to him and he treated all of us like family.
“We of his immediately family are left truly blessed and rich from his legacy.
“Frank went home first to pave the way for his beloved wife of 50 years, Susie, who was his true equal. They did it. They loved each other so much that it spread like a California wildfire to not only their children but to everyone who met them.
“And that, that is how legends are made.”
Visitation was held Aug. 29 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home in Pine Island.
As per his wishes, cremation will be held privately following the services.
