Frank 'Corporal' Barczak

Frank “Corporal” Barczak of Sussex, N.J., a retired laborer for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, entered into rest on Thursday, March 15, 2018. He was 81.
The son of Francisek and Antonina Giza Barczak, he was born July 10, 1936, in Warwick.
He was U.S. Army veteran, a member of P.L.A.V. Post 16 in Pine Island and an honorary member of the Hamburg Fire, N.J., Department.
Survivors include his brother John Barczak (Jane), Middletown; sister Genevieve Koutney of Tennessee, Theresa “Dolly” Dombroski of Newburgh and Rose Paffenroth of Vero Beach, Fla.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters Stella Myslinski and Elizabeth “Betty” Johnson and brothers Vincent, Joseph and Walter Barczak.
Visitation was held March 19 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home in Pine Island. Legion services also were held at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held March 20 at the funeral home.
Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Pine Island.
