Frank A. Annicaro

    Frank A. Annicaro of Warwick (formerly a 40-year resident of Greenwood Lake) passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 78 years old.

    Born March 31, 1935, in New York City, he was the son of Peter and Louise (Taddeo) Annicaro.

    He was the widower of Catherine (Vellucci) Annicaro (2013). They were married 57 years.

    An Army veteran of the Korean War, Frank was a carpenter/foreman with Carpenters Union Local 257, New York City.

    His family's statement reads: "His life revolved around his wife, children and grandchildren. He was often found in his workshop creating or fixing something for his family. He could always 'make something up' to help someone else."

    He is survived by his children: Peter Annicaro of Sarasota, Fla., Bill Annicaro and Cheryl of Wayne, N.J., Lois Battista and her husband Edward of Vernon, N.J., Marianne Verrengia and her husband Michael of Hamburg, N.J., Catherine Hobart and her husband John of Warwick and Frank Annicaro and his wife Karen of Warwick; his fifteen grandchildren: Lisa, Matthew, Michael, John, Nicholas, Tyler, Ashley, Anthony, Alexa, Alyssa, Frank, Edward, John, Joseph and Alexandra. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Annicaro of Nanuet.

    Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 21, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

    A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

    Interment will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
