Frances N. Polizze

Frances N. Polizze of Warwick (and formerly of Astoria, Queens), passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. She was 82 years old.

Born on June 15, 1932, in New York City, she was one of seven children of Nicholas and Anna (Romano) Marasa.

She was married to Casameno Polizze.

A homemaker, she was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

She is survived by her husband Casameno Polizze of Warwick; her daughter Jo-Ellen Gambino and her husband Frank of Warwick; seven grandchildren: Frank, Michael, Diane, Noelle, Joseph, Justin and Nicholas; and one great-grandson Angelo; her sister, Mae Polizze of the state of Florida; and a son-in-law, Joseph Alaimo.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Christine Alaimo.

Visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 27, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Stephen's RC Church in Warwick, followed by interment in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
