Floreen R. “Lori” Sanford of Warwick entered into rest on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017.
Born on March 25, 1937, in New York City, she was the daughter of Robert and Ann (Duelk) Rounseville. A well-known actor and tenor, Robert starred in Broadway shows and in movies including "Carousel" and "The Tales of Hoffmann." Her mother was a line dancer on Broadway and a gifted pianist.
With a passion for the arts and adventure around the Big Apple, Lori loved Central Park and Broadway and attended her father’s many performances while she was growing up. She loved gardens filled with sweet smelling flowers, the colors pink and green. She spent time outside reading literature of all types, especially loved poetry, listened to classical music, and always kept up with current events and politics. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Lori was a graduate of Lasell College in Massachusetts and previously worked as a researcher and reporter for Newsweek, then later worked in retail for JC Penney.
