Evelyn J. Morrison

Evelyn J. Morrison of Warwick passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at home. She was 82 years old.

Born July 5, 1930, in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of Allan B. Jones and Herma D. Palmer Jones.

She was married to John H. Morrison III.

Evelyn graduated from Wellesley College and was a graduate of the University of Washington. She earned her PhD from University of Wyoming. She was a computer programmer with IBM in Sterling Forest. She was a member of the Warwick Historical Society, a member of the board of directors of the Orange County Trust Company, served on the board of directors of Emergency Housing in Middletown and was a donor for the Morrison Lab School at SUNY Orange.

She was a lifetime Christian Scientist.

She is survived by her husband John H. Morrison of Warwick; her children: John H. Morrison IV and his wife Thanh Nguyen of Houston, Texas; Dee Morrison Huntington and her husband Don, of Denver, Colo.; and Robert W. Morrison of Boston, Mass.; her grandchildren: Daniel, Jonathan and Rebecca Huntington; and a sister, Agnes Curtis, in California.

Funeral arrangements were private.
