Evelyn Barbara Evans

Evelyn Barbara Evans of Warwick, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. She was 93 years old.

Born Feb. 19, 1919, in Channing, Mich., she was the daughter of Olga Lena (Miller) Willard and Sidney L. Willard.

Evelyn lived in Pearl River from 1962 until she moved to Warwick in 2007.

Evelyn was personnel director for Avildsen Tools and Machines in New York for more than 20 years and retired as personnel director for New York Twist Drill in Ramsey N.J., at age 71.

She was an avid gardener and enjoyed walking, quilting and reading. She had just finished reading the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy and “The Hobbit.”

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Evans, and her daughter, Patricia Evans, and is survived by her daughter Denise Evans and her husband Dom Busnelli of Florida and her son David Evans and his wife Keisya of Monroe; grandchildren Christopher, Kayla, Alex and Dale; sisters Janette Lindeman and Sarah Lada of Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews.
