Evan Charles McNulty of Sleepy Hollow passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013. He was 21.

He was born Nov. 23, 1991, in Waterbury, Conn., and was raised in Warwick.

Evan was a loving, kind young man with a generous heart and spirit. Evan loved life and was adventurous. He lived every one of life’s precious moments to the fullest.

Evan was a tremendous athlete; he played football, lacrosse and baseball while growing up in Warwick. His favorite sport was snowboarding. He would do 360’s and back flips in the air. He would be free like a bird; like an eagle moving swiftly and gliding with no fear.

In these experiences, he was truly enjoying his life and his God-given talents.

Evan also loved dirt biking, fishing, writing songs and spending time with his family. He was a true gift and a light in his families’ life. One of his last enjoyments was a family cruise he had recently taken.

His mother was Evan’s rock and anchor. His father lovingly coined him with the name “Mr. Chips.”

Evan is survived by his mother, Mirella McNulty (Solari) of Sleepy Hollow; his father Curtis McNulty of Warwick; and his brothers Bryant and Michael McNulty; and his grandmother Maria Solari of Sleepy Hollow.

He also will be sorely missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and family near and far.

Funeral services were held Oct. 16 at United Methodist Church in Ossining, with interment to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
