Elizabeth Gorshack

    Elizabeth Gorshack of Warwick, a first-year student at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, S.C., died tragically on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was only 18 years old.
    The daughter of John Gorshack III and Claudia Gorshack, she was born Oct. 6, 1993, in Warwick.
    She was a member of S.S. Seward Class of 2012 in the Village of Florida.
    Elizabeth excelled at all levels of sports. She was played soccer, basketball, cross country track and was on the varsity softball team during all four years of high school. She was also an avid snow boarder.
    As a little girl Elizabeth enjoyed playing with her cousins, climbing trees, building forts and going on adventures in the woods. Later she had a very close bond with her little sister Melissa.
    Elizabeth consumed life and always brought people together to create fun and induce laughter.
    Survivors include her parents John and Claudia Gorshack of Warwick; her sister Melissa Gorshack of Warwick; Grandmother Fresia Osorio of Santiago, Chile; Aunt Janet Culligan and Uncle Michael Culligan; Aunt Marie Reagan and cousins John Paul and Edward Reagan; and loving friends, family and teachers.
    A funeral Mass was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church in the Village of Florida. A private cremation will follow.
