    Eleanor Champigny of Sandwich, Mass., a retired secretary for the Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C., entered into rest on Friday, June 1, 2012. She was 74.

    The daughter of Felicia Figurski Wanczyk and Stanley Wanczyk, was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Goshen.

    Eleanor was a loving wife and devoted mother who volunteered time and talent to the Sandwich Glass Museum.

    She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerald F. Champigny at home in Sandwich, Mass.; her mother Felicia Wanczyk of Florida, N.Y.; four children: Brian G. Champigny of Suffolk, Va., Donna C. Bush of Beallsville, Md., Karen A. Champigny of Bernardsville, N.J., and Christopher J. Champigny of Woodstown, N.J., eight grandchildren; sisters Frances Warren of Goshen and Anne Gurda of Middletown; brother Stanley Wanczyk Jr. of Middletown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Visitation was scheduled for Thursday, June 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.

    A funeral Mass was scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in the Village of Florida.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
