Edward Noviski Jr., 54, of the town of Greenville, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme (brain cancer).
Eddie was born on Sept. 27, 1964, to Edward Noviski Sr. and Alice Stephens Noviski.
He was employed by Cal-Mart Enterprises as a heavy equipment and crane operating engineer. He was a member of IUOE Local 825 and the Middletown Elks.
Eddie enjoyed spending time with his dad, bellying up to the bar to share a “few cold ones” with friends, fishing, boating on the Hudson, Lake Wallenpaupak and Lake George on his boat appropriately named the Polish Prince, weekend getaways and traveling throughout the Caribbean, especially the beautiful island of Aruba that he considered his home away from home.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Tammy; father, Edward Noviski Sr.; sister, Karen (Vince) Plocharczyk; brothers-in-law, Bill (Kathy) Petrick and Bob Petrick; nieces Amy, Gina, Chrissy, Tina and Sarah; nephews Willy and Johnny; his beloved cats, Toby, Ticia and Senor Gomez aka Fred, and the most recent addition, pet pig Penelope; several uncles, aunts and cousins, especially Joe and Dave whom he loved like brothers, and many wonderful friends.
He was predeceased by his mom, Alice Noviski and brother, Kurt Noviski.
Visitation was held Dec. 17 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home in Florida.
A funeral service was Dec. 18 at the funeral home.
Burial was held in St. Joseph Cemetery in Florida.
A special “Thank You” to Dr. Ramaswamy, Ceil, Dr. Koulova, Dr. Eanelli and ORMC Cancer Center Radiation Team, ORMC Oncology Unit, Hospice of Orange County, Dr. Fakhoury, the wonderful staff of Valley View and family and friends who filled Eddie's last months with support, kindness, love and laughter.
Although time is measured in quantity, it is the quality of each day that will be remembered. Live each day to the fullest, laugh often and love unconditionally.
