Edna Marie Lord

Edna Marie Lord of Whiting, N.J., a retired supervisor for Verizon, entered into rest on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012. She was 84.
The daughter of James N. and Emily Scherer Hayden, she was born Jan. 23, 1928, in Albany.
Mom was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always loved and put her family first. She was also an avid reader who greatly enjoyed her time spent reading.
She is survived by her son James Lord of Shohola, Pa.; daughter Joan Faline and her husband Mike of Warwick; five grandchildren: Troy Cavaliere of Manhattan, Michael Faline and his wife Christine of Warwick, Matthew Faline and his wife Christina of Greenville, Joseph Faline of Warwick and Erin Reagan and her husband Matthew of Highland Lakes, N.J.; five great grandchildren: Sophia, Charlotte, Quentin, Gabriel, and Thomas; sister Joan Butta of Gambier, OH;
She was predeceased by her son John Craig Lord, granddaughter Patricia Marie Lord, sister Henrietta Bihler and her beloved companion Wesley Kilmer.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 Pine Island Turnpike, Pine Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick.
Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
