Douglas William Schmick

Douglas William Schmick of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, a retired career soldier for the U.S. Army, entered into rest on Sunday, March 24, 2019. He was 71.
The son of Douglas Schmick and Wilhelmina Lewis Schmick, he was born on April 4, 1947, in Warwick.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Glynn and her husband Patrick of Grosse Pointe, Michigan; grandson Andrew Glynn; sister Susan Reichal of Warwick; brother Louis Schmick and wife Nadine of Beaver Dams; along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Frank Reichal.
Graveside services with full military honors were held April 5 at the Warwick Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the T.S. Purta Funeral Home.
