Doris M. Cervia of Warwick passed away peacefully on Jan. 19, 2023, at Garnet Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 91 years old.
Born in Union City, N.J., on Feb. 17, 1931, she was the daughter of Dominic and Elizabeth Cospito.
Her family statement reads: “Doris was a kind and gentle woman who loved animals. She had a laugh that everyone liked. She was someone others gravitated towards and became friends with easily.”
Dori is survived by her son Gary of Warwick; daughter Mildred Guzzo and her husband John of Centerville, Mass.; two grandchildren Michelle Azoff and her husband Eric and Tracy Guzzo; four great-grandchildren: Alexa, Savannah, Chloe and Madison. She was predeceased by her husband Charles and two brothers Anthony “Tony” and Peter Cospito.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 27, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. A 10 a.m. funeral service will be held at the funeral home with a procession following to Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen.
