    Richard “Dick” J. Nash of Warwick entered into rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at home. He was 86.

    The son of Dr. Willard Nash and Genevieve Jennings Nash, he was born on Aug. 12, 1926. in Souchou, China.

    He was a World War II and Korean Navy veteran,where he served as a pharmacist mate.

    He was a car enthusiast and many other hobbies.

    Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Maria Butenkoff Nash; daughters Cathy Rudy and her husband Gary and Diane DeFreest and her husband Daryl; three grandchildren: Katie Rudy and her fiancé Pete Tomczak, Danielle De Freest and Matt Marvullo; and David DeFreest. He also leaves behind many dear friends.

    He was predeceased by his grandson Richard Jacob Rudy and his brother Wilson Nash.

    Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida. The Warwick American Legion will conduct services at noon.

    Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the funeral home.

    Burial will be held privately.
