Dennis Mazzella

Dennis (Desiderio) Mazzella of Greenwood Lake passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, at home. He was 87 years old.

Born May 1, 1926 in Ponza, Italy, he was the son of Giocomo and Maria Giuseppina (Calisi) Mazzella.

He was married to Lillian (Conte) Mazzella.

Dennis worked in construction with Local 731. He was a member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church in Greenwood Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian of Greenwood Lake; his daughters Mary Ann Morgan and her husband Wayne of Macon, Ga., Candida Vaughn and her husband Roberto of Cortlandt Manor and Mary Jo Ben Nun and her husband Roni of Greenwood Lake; and five grandchildren: Robert, Denise, Katie, Claire and Sofia.

A funeral Mass was celebrated June 13 at Holy Rosary R.C. Church, followed by entombment in Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Drive, New Windsor, NY 12553.
