David Thomas Dzierzek

David Thomas Dzierzek of Florida, N.Y., entered into rest on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 84.
The son of Frank Dzierzek and Wilda Banick Dzierzek, he was born April 29, 1933, in Chester.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church in the Village of Florida. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member and past commander of the P.L.A.V. Post # 16 in Pine Island.
Survivors include daughter Mary Sullivan; son Frank Dzierzek and his wife Tina; son David Dzierzek Jr.; daughter Lori Dzierzek; grandchildren: Kelly Castillo, Lisa Sullivan, John Sullivan III and Christina Dzierzek; and great grandchildren Isabella and Sean Castillo.
Visitation was held Aug. 27 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home in Florida.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 28 at St. Joseph Church.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
