David M. Smith

David M. Smith of Warwick, and formerly of Ridgewood, N.J., passed away peacefully on May 21, 2017. He was 87.
Beloved husband of the late Betty Jane (nee: Jewell). Loving father of David J. and his wife Amy, Malcolm M. and his wife Allison and Scott M. and his wife Eileen. Adoring Grandfather of Matthew, Meghan, Tara, Katherine, Dana, Keri, Kayleigh, Morgan, Kieran and great-grandfather to Llewyn.
David was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on May 22, 1929. He graduated from Rindge Tech in 1948 and Geneva College in 1953. He served in the United States Army Ordinance Department from 1955-1957.
From 1957-1970, David worked for community blood banks in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York City.
For the remainder of his life, he designed and manufactured washing and disinfecting equipment for the health care, institutional and pharmaceutical industries.
He loved sports, jazz and his Scottish heritage.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Story Chapel, Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts, on July 8, 2017, at 10 a.m.
