Concetta C. Riccobono

Concetta C. Riccobono of Warwick (and formerly of Bergenfield, N.J.) passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. She was 87 years old.

Born Aug. 16, 1924, in New York City, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Rosalie (Marchese) Castiglia.

She was married to the late Salvatore Riccobono (2001).

Concetta was a seamstress with Lord & Taylor in New York City prior to retiring. She was a volunteer with Holy Name Hospital, a member of the Warwick Seniors and a member of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church in Warwick, where she sang in the choir.

“Grieve not … nor speak of me with tears … but laugh and talk of me as though I were beside you. I loved you so.... ’Twas Heaven here with you.”

She is survived by her daughters Angela Murphy and her husband James of Warwick and Lillian Lippis and her husband Nicholas III of Hingham, Mass.; a brother, Louis Castiglia of Lynhurst; her grandchildren: Michael Tore Murphy and his wife Annemarie, Philip James Murphy, Diana Rose Murphy, Nicholas John Lippis IV and Brianna Rose Lippis; and great-grandchildren Brittany and Owen Murphy.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, followed by interment in Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, N.J.
