Clare G. Kimiecik

Clare G. Kimiecik a lifelong resident of Florida, N.Y., and a retired bus driver for Monroe-Woodbury School District, entered into rest on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at home. She was 83.

The daughter of Joseph Brozycki and Josephine Nowicki Brozycki, she was born on Nov. 2, 1930, in the Village of Florida.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church.

She is survived by her daughter Eileen Straub and her husband Phil; son Charles Kimiecik and his wife Gail; son Donald Kimiecik and his wife Judy; and daughter-in-law Vivian Kimiecik all of Florida, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren: Jeanette Ulvila, Michelle Kimiecik, Erin Sloma, Bridget Rogers, Phil Straub III, Paula Vellenga, Amber Ritchings, Adam Kimiecik, Kristie Perez, Donald Kimiecik, Andrea Cisneros and Brian Kimiecik; 19 great grandchildren; brother John Brozycki and sister Mary Thompson; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Richard G. Kimiecik; son Richard E. Kimiecik; sister Virginia Kimiecik and brother Edmund Brozycki.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.

A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at St. Joseph Church.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
