Clara Pierce
Clara Pierce entered into rest on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 87 and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
The daughter of Joseph Poloniak Sr. and Agnes Zak Poloniak, she was born July 16, 1924, in Pine Island.
She was a member of St. Josephs Church in the Village of Florida.
She is survived by her husband Chester Pierce at home; son Stephen Pierce and his wife Lidia of New Hampton; daughter Christina Murphy and her husband John of Middletown; son Joseph Pierce and his wife Janine of New Hampton; step grandchildren Lilia and her husband Sasha; Andrei and his wife Genia; step great-grandchildren Alicia, Lauriana, and Vicky of Montreal, Canada; grandchildren Michael Murphy and his wife Carly and Meghan Murphy; John, Helene, and Rebecca Pierce; sister Marie Wagoner and husband Jim of Schenectady; brother Joseph Poloniak and wife Susan of Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews .
She was predeceased by brothers Louis and Paul Poloniak and her sister, Sister Mary Frances Poloniak.
A funeral Mass was scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, at St. Josephs Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, Florida.
