Christian K. Sweisberger Sr.

    Christian K. Sweisberger Sr. of Goshen (and formerly of Paramus, N.J.) passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012. He was 88 years old.

    Born Nov. 18, 1923, in Englewood, N.J., he was the son of Christian and Mary Elizabeth (Karl) Sweisberger.

    He was married to Abbie (Parascondolo) Sweisberger.

    A graduate of Leonia High School, Christian served with the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II as a radio operator in the Pacific.

    He worked as a first class machinist with Autographic Business Forms and then became the maintenance electrician for Unified Data Forms in Fair Lawn, N.J.

    He is survived by his wife Abbie of Warwick; his children: Alice Meade and her husband Michael and their children Connor, Matthew and Cameron; Christian K. Sweisberger and his wife Sabrina and their children Kayla and Emily; his brother Robert; nephews Robert and James; nieces Lisa, Janice, Diana and Linda.

    He was predeceased by a brother Thomas and a sister Marie Klein.

    Memorial funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Christ Church, 50 South St., Warwick. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
