Christene Johnson of Warwick passed away at Sloan Kettering Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, after a valiant fight.
She showed strength with ‘Faith over fear’ as her motto overcoming many years of adversity with fight after fight all the while staying strong for her beloved children and continuing to give selflessly to all around her.
She lives forever in all she touched and all whom she has touched.
She was 51 years old.
Born in Pelham on Sept. 7, 1971, she was the daughter of Maria (Rondinelli) and Michael Ciferri.
Christene is survived by her husband Scott and their three children: Christian, Alicia and Victoria; mother Maria Ciferri; sister Kim Weisse; brother Michael Ciferri; and dogs Storm and Zeus.
Visitation was held Jan. 12 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Jan. 13 at St. Stephen RC Church in Warwick.
