Charles J. Krzyzczuk

    Charles J. Krzyzczuk, a lifelong resident of Goshen and a retired sales representative with Metropolitan Life Insurance, entered into rest on Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 82.

    The son of Anton J. and Martha Pawlak Krzyzczuk, he was born June 23, 1929, in Goshen.

    He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in the Village of Florida, St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society, Civil Defense Auxiliary Police and the Knights of Columbus #1106. Dad also was a volunteer at Arden Hill Hospital for 43 years.

    His family’s statement reads: “The family would like to thank the members of the Florida Fire & Rescue Squad, the caring staff of O.R.M.C., St. Teresa’s Nursing Home, Mobile Life Support Services and Elant. A special thank to Pastor Jose Rodriguez, Pastor John Torres and Pastor Brian Randazzo as well as the family and friends who were there to comfort the family at the time of his passing.”

    Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Martha Rutkowski Krzyzczuk, at home; daughters Rose Marie Pennings and her husband John of Walden and Sheryl DeLuca and her husband William of Freehold, N.J.; grandsons Scott, James and David DeLuca; great-grandsons Vincent and Isaac; sisters Patricia Gross of Goshen and Phyllis Slesinski of Seminole, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

    He was predeceased by brothers Anthony, Edward and Leon Krzyzczuk and sisters Mary Krzyzczuk, Agnes Kamrowski, Deanna Atkin and Martha Wengenroth.

    A funeral Mass was celebrated March 14 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Restoration Fund, 14 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.
