Catherine 'Frances' Degnan

Catherine “Frances” Degnan of Warwick entered into eternal rest on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old.
She was born March 3, 1934, in Sligo, Ireland, the daughter of Andrew and Bridget (Cox) Cryan.
Catherine was retired from Orange Farms in Goshen as a nurse’s aide.
She was a member of St. Stephen RC Church, the Catholic Daughters and the Ladies of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She always had a special devotion to our Blessed Mother.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles; her sons Andrew and his wife Dolly, Peter, and James and his wife Maureen; brothers Joseph Cryan of Rochelle Park, N.J., and Leo Cryan of Ireland; eight grandchildren: Nicholas and his wife Tara, Jessica and her husband Joseph, Rebecca and her husband Charley, Shannon and husband Jack, Nathaniel, Alexandria, Sean and Elizabeth; seven great-grandchildren: Haven, Justin, Juliana, Chase, Magdalena, Sebastian and Norah; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, John (2017) and Raymond (1964) and her brothers, Raymond and Gussie.
Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 9, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick.
Interment will follow the mass in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
