Caroline Mosher
Caroline Mosher, a former resident of Goshen, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Millsboro, Delaware. She was 93.
She was born Nov. 6, 1918,in Patton, Pa., the second daughter of the eleven children born to Boleslaw and Cornelia Kasperkowicz Uszenski.
Carol was a dental assistant who worked in the Bronx before she moved to Goshen in the early 1960s.
She married Kenneth Mosher on July 30,1960; Ken predeceased her on May 2, 2002.
Carol and Ken lived in Goshen until 1977 when they moved to Delaware where they both lived the remainder of their lives.
While living in Goshen, Carol was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church and its Altar Rosary Society. Their Goshen house was the site of many celebrations for family and friends. Carol always enjoyed life and was good to the entire family.
Carol is survived by her brother John Uszenski and his wife Barbara of Elmira; step-daughter, Dorothy and her husband Robert See of Yonkers; granddaughter Cathy and her husband Richard OBrien also of Yonkers and grandson Robert See Jr. of Delaware. She is further survived by a great granddaughter Morgan OBrien and great grandsons Kenneth OBrien and twins Joseph and James See. Carol is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Uszenski of Franklin, N.J., as well as 12 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Carol was predeceased by her brothers, Felix, Floyd (aka Turk), Andrew (Marge), Bernard (Marge), Francis (aka Jack) (Helen), Stephen (Helen) and Rev. Stanislaus Uszenski, and her sisters Mary Lupinski (Joseph) and Lucy Wilk (Paul) and her nieces and nephews, Tommy Uszenski, Vicki (Wilk) Sholes, Richie Lupinski and Nancy (Uszenski) van der Geest.
A funeral Mass was celebrated April 4 at St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island. Burial followed in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
