    Carl Leuze of Hewitt, N.J., a long-time area resident passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at the Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, N.J. He was 75 years old.
    The son of Charles and Kate Leuze, Carl was born on March 3, 1943, in Brooklyn.
    Carl proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was later employed as a master electrician for the Local 3, the Teamsters and Local 363.
    He loved being on the water and fished whenever he could.
    Survivors include his daughter Jessica Leuze of Warwick; son Peter Leuze of Murrels Inlet, S.C.; little sister Lorraine Carrasquillo of Staten Island; as well as his beloved grandchildren Russell and Crystal.
    Besides his parents, Carl was pre-deceased by his amazingly sweet wife, Mary Leuze in 2009.
    A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, Sept. 23, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Homestead Village Community Room, Homestead Village Drive in Warwick.
    In lieu of flowers, donations in Carl’s name may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars by visiting vfw.org.
