Blossom Ferraro
Blossom Ferraro died on July 18, 2015. She was 96.
Born Blossom Rubin, she was born in Brooklyn and lived most of her life in New York City until she moved with her second husband, Joseph Ferraro, to Florida, New York in the 1980s. After her husband died, she lived with her daughter in Warwick for several years, until she moved to the Southwinds Retirement Home in Middletown, and then Valley View Center in Goshen.
Mrs. Ferraro raised her two daughters, Abbey Meyers and Karen Cooper, as a single parent. She was a bookkeeper specializing in automobile dealerships until her retirement at the age of 62.
Mrs. Ferraro is survived by her daughter, Abbey Meyers of Middlebury, Conn., five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her family is grateful for the excellent care she received in her later years.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
