Barbara Claus

Barbara Claus of the Village of Florida entered into rest on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 89.

The daughter of Augustine Salvato and Pauline Abbenante Salvato, she was born Jan. 9, 1923, in Brooklyn.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Florida.

Survivors include her daughter,Gladys Angelico and her husband James of the Village of Florida; grandson James Angelico III of the Village of Florida; her two “best friends” - Sam and Bailey; brother Joseph Salvato and his wife Linda of New City; an several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 6, at St. Joseph Church.

Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
