    Barbara Ann Healey Giza of the Village of Florida entered into eternal peace on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.

    She was born Dec. 14, 1942, in Warwick to Agnus Williams Healey and James Healey.

    Barbara was a retired central supply technician for St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick.

    She was predeceased by her husband Robert Larry Giza.

    She is survived by her sons Robert Giza and Mark Giza and daughter Laurie Giza-Weslowski and son-in-law Daniel Weslowski Jr. Also sisters Mary Jankowski and Patti Healey Saye and brother John Healey; grandchildren Jade Nicole Giza, Taylor Nicole Giza, Maximus Robert Giza and Daniel Robert Weslowski, Dianna and Victoria Ryder and Jessica Giza.

    She was, “Grandma Giza” to many others who loved her dearly. Barbara was a huge animal lover and her mother always called her the “Pied Piper of all animals.”

    Her family included the following words from Joyce Kilmer in her obituary: “Poems are made by fools like me, but only God can make a tree. “

    Visitation was scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warwick Humane Society.
