Arthur J. Klingman
Arthur J. Klingman of Warwick (and formerly of Howells) entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.
Born July 21, 1918, in New York City, he was the son of Joseph and Bertha Klingman.
He was married to Mildred Klingman.
Arthur was a retired bus mechanic for Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority for many years.
He also was an avid camper and made many trips with Mildred for sometimes months at a time.
He also volunteered for many years for Radio Vision reading for the blind.
He is survived by Mildred, his wife of 65 years; his children: Carol Buchanan and her husband Thomas of Warwick, Joseph Klingman and his wife Ellen of Hopewell, Va., and Barbara Pastor of New Windsor; nine grandchildren: Sara Scheuermann, Scott Buchanan, Susan Alicea, Mark and Jason Klingman, Mark, Alex, Naomi and Allison Paster; as well as seven great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 1 at St. Stephen’s R.C. Church; cremation followed privately.
