Arnold Shindelman

    Arnold Shindelman of Denver, Colorado, and formerly of Warwick and Maybrook in New York, passed away at his home on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013. He was 72.

    Arnie was born to Paul and Evelyn (Ackerman) Shindelman on June 26, 1941, in Manhattan.

    He received a bachelor degree for business administration from The City University of New York Bernard M. Baruch College and an associate degree in applied science from New York City Community College.

    Arnie had a lifelong career of more than 30 years with Equifax Services, for which he was awarded the “Quarter Century Award” for dedicated service.

    Arnold was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

    He was also a committed and loved volunteer as youth group advisor at Temple Beth Shalom in the Village of Florida and at Temple Beth Jacob in Newburgh.

    Arnie is survived by his daughter, Ellen Kowitt (Shai) of Erie, Colorado, and son Mark Shindelman of Arlington, Va.; brothers Alvin Shindelman of Lompoc, California, and Dan Rosen of Saint Louis, Mo.; and grandchildren Cameron Kowitt and Samantha Kowitt.

    He was preceded by his sister Jean O’Looney.

    Graveside services were held Nov. 13 at Mountain View Cemetery in Boulder, Colorado.

    Rabbi Josh Rose and Cantorial Soloist Holli Berman of Congregation Har HaShem officiated along with an Air Force Honor Guard.
