Anthony P. Marciniak

    Anthony P. Marciniak of Tuxedo passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Elant in Goshen. He was 91 years old and a lifelong resident of the area.

    Son of Peter and Anna Binko Marciniak, he was born May 20, 1922, in Mahwah, N.J.

    Anthony was a retired meat manager with Grand Union Company in West Nyack. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II.

    Survivors include his wife Mary Horton Marciniak of Tuxedo; his daughter Irene T. Mason and her husband Rodney of Warwick; his sisters, all of Mahwah, NJ: Mary Kordiak and her husband Michael, Lottie Von Helms, Bernice Baxter and her husband Jack; his three grandchildren: Meredith Mason, Ann Mason and Anthony Mason and his wife Amy; and his four great grandchildren: Tristen, Anthony, Andrew and Teagan.

    Anthony was predeceased by his brothers William and Stanley Marciniack.

    Anthony’s family would like to thank the staff of Elant in Goshen for the love and care shown to Dad.

    A graveside service was held in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman with military honors.
