Alice Martin

Alice Mary Foley Martin, a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away Jan. 16, 2014, at home. She was 78 years old.
Born April 24, 1935, in Warwick, she was the daughter of Leo James and Alice Mary (Wright) Foley.
She was married to Ferrier (Peter) T. Martin.
Before retiring, Alice was an art teacher with the Monroe-Woodbury Schools for 38 years. She also was an artist in her own right.
She also was a Supervisor for Student Teachers at SUNY New Paltz.
She spent her life with horses and was an avid rider.
She is survived by her husband, Peter, of Warwick; her daughters: Karen A. Martin of Vernon, N.J., and her fiancé Joshua McGriff and Claire Coolbeth and her husband Morgan of Falls Village, Conn. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. Francis de Sales Church, 614 Route 517, Vernon, N.J.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
