Alberto Cospel

    Alberto Cospel of Warwick passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick. He was 88 years old.

    Born Feb. 19, 1923, in Tangiers, Morocco, he was the son of Abraham and Aquiba (Krispel) Cospel.

    He was married to Lourdes (Calvente) Cospel.

    Mr. Cospel was formerly a manager with Harbor House in Fort Lee, N.J., and worked many years in the culinary arts.

    His family’s statement reads: “A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was a colorful personality and always had a joke.”

    He is survived by his wife, Lourdes Cospel of Warwick; a daughter, Lea of Warwick; three sons: Simon and Joseph of Warwick and Ralph of Manasquan, N.J.; four grandchildren: Courtney, Carl, Colin and Derick; and four great-grandchildren.
