Lowry receives conservation award

Kevin J. Lowry, the son of Noreen Lowry and the late Michael Lowry Jr. of Warwick, recently received the “Outstanding Conservation Alumni Achievement Award” from SUNY Finger Lakes. Given annually since 1985, this award recognizes professional achievement in the field of environmental conservation. After graduation, Lowry obtained his master of science degree and began his career with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service; he has been stationed at four different National Wildlife Refuges in two different regions of the country. Lowry has received eight prestigious awards as an undergraduate and so far five professional awards in his career, including an award from the Department of Interior’s National Conservation Training Center.
