Local students on their college's dean's lists
Colleges and universities have been sending out notices recently, listing area students who have done so well academically that they've been named to their school's dean's list. We will publish those names in as timely fashion as possible. Here's this week's credits: Keenan M. Hanson of Tuxedo, a sophomore in the School of Engineering at Alfred University, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2004 semester. Hanson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Hanson of Tuxedo and a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. Jessica A. Rykowski, a resident of Monroe, a senior majoring in philosophy in the College of Liberal Arts and Science at Alfred University, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2004 semester. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rykowski of Monroe and a graduate of John S. Burke High School in Goshen. Brian Thomas Evans of Monroe has been named to the dean's list at the State University of New York at Potsdam for the fall 2004 semester. He is the son of Thomas Evans of Monroe and is studying music education. Tara Suzanne Moyna, a 2001 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, has been named to the dean's list at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Mass. The daughter of Ed and Pat Moyna, the Monroe resident is majoring in journalism and expects to graduate in 2006. Christine McMahon of Monroe, a sophomore enrolled in the School of Architecture at Syracuse University, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2004 semester. Amy E. Goyette, the daughter of Gloria and Gerry Goyette of Monroe, has been named to the dean's list at SUNY Oneonta. She is a sophomore at the college and a 2003 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. William E. Haller of Monroe has been named to the dean's list at Harpur College in Binghamton for the fall 2004 semester. Haller, a freshman, is a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. Janet E. Hubert, the daughter of Elizabeth and Jonathan Hubert of Monroe, has been named to the merit list at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, for the fall 2004 semester. A graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, Hubert is a first-year student. Lauren Anne Barone of Tuxedo Park, has been named to the president's list at the State University of New York at Potsdam for the fall 2004 semester. She is listed as an art studio major and is the daughter of Patricia Barone of Tuxedo Park.
