The Archdiocese of New York recently held a Bicentennial Film Festival to celebrate its 200th birthday. Catholic schools from the area were asked to write, direct and star in short films dramatizing some aspect of the history of the Archdiocese. Two groups of seventh graders from St.Stephen’s-St.Edward’s School in Warwick were chosen as finalists. The children, along with seventh grade teacher Tim Cooper, Principal Mary Lou Moccia and parents were honored at a ceremony and reception in New York City on March 3. They were treated to a screening of their films and awarded medals and a first-place trophy for their school.
