Kathleen Casey is employee of the month St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh

Newburgh — St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital has named Warwick resisdent Kathleen Casey as the July Star of the Month. Casey has worked in the Health Information Management Systems Department of the hospital’s Newburgh campus for 10 years. As an emergency Department coder, she works to ensure the accuracy of patients’ medical records. “Casey is a pleasure to have on our staff,” said Jamie Pesci, director of Health Information Management Systems.“She is reliable and always on top of her job. Her great attitude and bubbly personality make our department a great place to work,” Casey was appreciative of the honor. “I love coming to work every day,” said Casey. “The wonderful environment at St. Luke’s, coupled with great co-workers, is what makes my job so enjoyable.” St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital employees are nominated for the Star of the Month award by their co-workers, patients, physicians and/or visitors, based on Stellar Service Standards, which focus on making customers feel comfortable and important; providing timely and orderly service; and improving communication with patients and staff.
