Goshen — Spc. Curtis Johnson of Goshen recently completed the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program with the unit Freedom Salute ceremony, honoring the service of the soldiers, the commitment of the families and the support of the community. Soldiers and family members of the New York Army National Guard’s 827th Engineer Company — of which Johnson is a member — gathered for their unit’s “Freedom Salute” at the Hudson Valley Resort and Spa in Kerhonkson. The program is designed to help soldiers and families deal with the stress of returning from a combat zone.
